Just for the info: I also tried to send the MIDI-signal through a SoftwareSerial. It first seems to work fine, but looking at the received data, I got some wrong bytes on my MIDI-host, so the SoftwareSerial does not work as it should! So to everyone reading this: I recommend not to use the SoftwareSerial for MIDI-Out!
